Our Mission
Our goal is to support both experienced ranchers and newcomers by providing exceptional genetics and personalized service. We offer mentorship and support, just as Johnny and Paul Harris did for us. Their guidance helped shape our ranch, and we aim to pass that legacy forward. We’re also proud to partner with the Scott family—Jan, Jared, Jimmy, and Dr. Ben Scott—through Seven South Cattle, where we raise top-tier Full-Bred Angus. This partnership brings strength to both sides of our operation and opens the door to even more opportunities for our customers.

- F1 Baldy Cattle (Coming 2026): Our registered Hereford cows bred to championship Angus bulls to create the ideal crossbreed.

We are also developing our bull selection program so customers can come to the ranch and personally choose the best bull for their operation. Whatever your needs, we’re your one-stop shop for premium cattle and unmatched customer service.
Meet the Team
Brooks Waldron, ranch manager and co-owner, leads the daily operations. With a deep love for the animals and a commitment to quality, Brooks ensures that every calf born is given the best chance to thrive.
“If a mama doesn’t do her job, we jump in full speed,” says Brooks. “Every calf matters, and we raise them with the same care we’d give our own children.”
In Memory of Willy
We also honor the legacy of Willy, our beloved horse from the 1883 TV series. Willy wasn’t just a horse—he was part of our family. He led our horse barn with pride, and we’ll never forget the bond we shared. Rest easy, buddy. Your legacy lives on at Deep South Ranch.
